What people are saying.
Social Security had denied my disability claim, stating that I had failed to return paperwork they sent me. I called Disability Consulting and they appealed my denial. About a month later, Social Security tried to deny me again, saying I hadn’t sent them something. I had sent them everything they asked for. Disability Consulting contacted them and made them recall the denied case and give me a proper decision. Without Disability Consulting, Social Security wouldn’t even have looked at my medical conditions.
I called Disability Consulting after Social Security had denied me for the second time. They handled the appeal for me online to where I wasn’t sent a pile of paperwork from Social Security. After reviewing my file, they informed me that they were going to petition the judge to allow my case without a hearing and they did. Less than 90 days after the appeal, I received a letter from the judge notifying me that he had approved my case. A week later, I was talking to an employee in my local Social Security office about what happened. She informed me that Disability Consulting had probably saved me a 20 month wait for a hearing.
I had called Disability Consulting at their toll free number. Upon finding that they were not located in the same state as me, I was skeptical about how effective they would be. But I have to say that I spoke with Mr. Groves regularly, and when it came time for my hearing, he actually flew in to personally present my case to a judge. The judge asked me all the questions Mr. Groves said he would, and Mr. Groves asked several questions to me and to the doctor the judge had called for the hearing. Mr. Groves got the doctor to agree with our position and the judge told us we had won.
Several years ago, I had been through the Disability process before with an attorney. I remember meeting my attorney one time–about 20 minutes before we were supposed to appear before a judge for my hearing. We lost the case and I never heard from the attorney again. My recent case with Disability Consulting has been just the opposite. They return my calls. Mr. Groves and Mr. Thomas actually came to my house to introduce themselves AND again to prepare me for my hearing. I actually felt like they were interested in what I had to say and what I have been going through for the past several years.
Disability Consulting won my case in 2005. In the years since then, I have referred my mother, my brother, my cousin, an aunt and an uncle to them. They have handled all of my relatives’ disability cases. And they have won them all!
